Writing as Reflection, Discovery, and Empowerment
Writing has long been one of the most powerful ways humans make sense of experience. Through language, we reflect on our lives, explore our emotions, and uncover insights that might otherwise remain hidden. Writing creates space for awareness, expression, and transformation.
About Tasjha’s Writing Practice
For Tasjha Wanonah Dixon, writing is both an artistic practice and a pathway to reflection, awareness, and empowerment. Her work explores themes of resilience, identity, lived experience, and personal transformation, examining how individuals and communities navigate challenge and change.
Tasjha holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Naropa University’s Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, where she studied contemplative writing traditions that blend mindfulness, language, and creative exploration.
InkRx Writing for Wellness
Through her InkRx Writing for Wellness practice, Tasjha guides participants through reflective writing exercises designed to help them reconnect with their voice and explore their inner lives with curiosity and honesty.
InkRx sessions emphasize exploration rather than performance. Participants are encouraged to write freely without worrying about grammar, perfection, or external judgment. The focus is on authentic expression and personal discovery.
What to Expect in a Workshop
Writing workshops may include:
Guided writing prompts
Silent writing time
Reflective group conversation
Opportunities to share insights in a supportive community space
These sessions are designed to create a welcoming environment where participants feel safe to explore their thoughts and experiences.
The Benefits of Reflective Writing
Participants often discover that writing helps them:
» Clarify their thoughts and ideas
» Process complex emotions
» Reconnect with creativity and personal voice
» Develop greater self-awareness
Over time, many people find that writing becomes an important personal practice for navigating life’s uncertainties.
Continuing the Exploration
Through classes, workshops, and public readings, Tasjha continues to explore how writing can help individuals better understand themselves, their communities, and the world around them.
Writing becomes not only a creative outlet, but also a meaningful practice for reflection, connection, and growth.
